CHALLENGES

The platform was not up-to-date and compliant with the latest Salesforce release, which caused the event management system to stop working.

UNCC had been using Salesforce to manage partner relations, events, and membership sales. Over the last five years, several students had worked on their Salesforce instance, but  systematic knowledge transfers were not done properly. As a result, the system became complex with many security loopholes.

The platform was not being kept up-to-date and compliant with the latest Salesforce release, which caused the event

management system to stop working. It is possible that best practices were not used or the system was not compatible with the new release.

One challenge for Sumeru was to understand the existing architecture and implementation without any documentation or communication with previous developers, and fix the registration system so it functions smoothly.

UNCC needed ongoing support to maintain their Salesforce system to keep up with the latest updates and make enhancements accordingly. Students have a high turnover, so they were looking for a stable and competent resource to take care of this aspect..
